The Department of California reserves the right to modify our Privacy Policy at any time, in our sole discretion, and with or without notice to you. We may contact you in the event of changes to this Privacy Policy, but we are not always required to do so and so you should review the terms of our Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed of any changes and ensure your continued agreement.

Modifications to the Policy are effective upon our posting of the amended Policy to our Site. The terms of the current Policy supersede all previous notices or statements regarding our privacy practices and the terms and conditions that govern the use of the Services. We do not collect personally identifiable information on those who visit our site. We do use a third party service that provides information (analytics) on visitor activities such as: the date and time of visit, ip address, browser (e.g. Firefox 3.5), operating system version (e.g. Windows XP), screen resolution (e.g. 800x600), referring link, the current page url and the current page title, whether a visitor has been to your website before, entry page, exit page, pages visited, length of stay, etc. No effort is made to collect personally identifiable information on individuals without their knowledge.

This Privacy Policy and the privacy practices of The American Legion are made under, and will be construed according to, the laws of the State of California, without reference to the choice of law principles thereof. The American Legion makes no representation that this Privacy Policy and such practices comply with the laws of any other state or country. The exclusive jurisdiction for any litigation required to resolve any disputes under this Privacy Policy shall be in the courts of the State of California, and each of the Parties consents to the jurisdiction of such courts in California, and waives objection to venue laid therein.
