When they are threatened, every service feels it.\nHeadquartered at Los Angeles AFB in El Segundo, CA, Space Systems Command (SSC) acquires, develops, and launches the satellites and space capabilities that keep America aware, connected, and ready.\nThis year, as our nation marks its 250th anniversary, Space Systems Command also celebrates its 5th year. On August 8th, 2026, the SSC 5th Anniversary Gala will take place at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. The evening will recognize America’s space story, linking the past, present, and future in a setting that helped inspire the Space Age.
