Update: Electra Fire victims offered shelter at American Legion post

Area 3, thank you for the calls and the support from Amador Post 108, helping feed and give support to fire displaced veterans from the Electra Fire in Amador and Calvarese counties. Special thanks to Commander Sutton and members of his Post, Riders and Auxiliary Bob Bonilla, Frank Renick, Dwain & Karen Keckley and Stephen & Kathlean Gast. Without your help we would not have been able to serve around 50 hot meals to the victims. The Red Cross asked the Post to stand down so we obliged them at this time. Area 3, please start to collect blankets, clothing and other needed items for fire victims for this year. It’s not if they will be needed, but when will they be needed. Let’s keep showing that The American Legion will always support veterans in need.
