We are now entering the busy time of the year where we process all the data and forms from posts in anticipation of the 2020 Department Convention in Visalia, CA. To help us with this, please have your post leaders fill out the forms located at https://calegion.org/legion-report-forms/ as soon as the information becomes available.
Most important post forms this time of year are:
- Post Data Report, Due April 15
- Consolidated Post Report (CPR), Due June 1
- Certification Convention Delegates, Due June 1
- Certification of Post Officers, Due June
Most important district forms this time of year are:
- District Secretary – Convention Registration, Due: June 1
- District Standing Committees, Due: June 1
- District Officer Certification, Due June 1
- District Meeting Schedule, Due June 1
- National Convention Delegates, Due June
Most important Area forms this time of year are:
- Area Officer Certification, Due June 1
- Area Commission Recommendations, Due June 1
- Area Meeting Schedule, Due June
Please encourage your leaders to submit these forms in a timely manner in order for the correct information to be registered in the national database. In addition, it is the intent of leading Department Commander Candidate Autrey James to announce and confirm his department appointments at the post-convention Department Executive Committee Meeting. In order to best attain this goal, he will need the Area and District recommendation forms submitted by June 1, 2020.
Thank you to all the posts who are submitting their member dues online directly to national. Over 70% of the posts are using this method with great success. Maybe by the end of next year, 100% of our posts will be using this method!
