On Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Hollywood Legion Post 43 will come alive with the timeless sounds of the 1940s and 1950s as Big Band Alumni takes the stage. This monthly event promises an afternoon of music, dancing, and nostalgia that’s not to be missed.
The Big Band Alumni, a 17-piece orchestra, will be joined by vocalists Bill A. Jones and Nancy Osborne to recreate the golden era of Big Band Swing, Jazz, and classic traditional Pop Vocals.
Big Band Alumni is not just any orchestra; its members have shared the stage and collaborated with iconic artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, Rod Stewart, and even Lady Gaga. In September, the audience was treated to a special 30-minute live broadcast reminiscent of the Big Band Radio Remotes from the 1930s and 40s. This month promises to be equally exceptional.
