
With Veterans Day on the horizon, California American Legion is compiling a list of discounts, freebies, and deals California Veterans and/or Service Members can take advantage of this year. All the listings below have been confirmed, and we will update this list as new deals are announced or changed. Be sure to check back!
Important Note: This list only includes discounts for Veterans Day and November 2025. It is not intended to include year-round Military or Veterans discounts. This year, we’re also including businesses likely to offer a discount or deal based on previous years’ discounts. We always recommend verifying discounts or deals before any purchases; some locations belonging to the brands below may not be participating.
CALIFORNIA FOOD AND DRINK DISCOUNTS ON VETERANS DAY
7-Eleven
7-Eleven does not have a confirmed 2025 Veterans Day deal yet, but based on a similar 2024 promotion, 7-Eleven is likely to offer a free coffee or Big Gulp to eligible 7Rewards members on Veterans Day.
Applebee’s (confirmed by editor)
Participating Applebee’s locations will be offering Veterans and Active Military a free meal on Nov. 1 from a special menu (dine-in only).
BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse
Veterans and active-duty military can receive a free meal from a select menu on Nov. 11 at participating locations. Dine-in only.
Current and former military members with ID can receive 15% off with the Heroes discount, available for dine-in only.
Blaze Pizza (confirmed by editor)
On Nov. 11, Veterans and Active Military can enjoy a free one-topping pizza. Blaze Pizza is also donating $1 from every pizza sold on Veterans Day to Folds of Honor.
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
Based on previous promotions, active-duty military personnel and Veterans are likely to receive a 20% discount. The discount is for dine-in only, requires a valid military ID or proof of service, and will be available on Nov. 11.
Buffalo’s Cafe
On Nov. 11, Veterans and active-duty military personnel will likely receive 25% off their meal. This offer is available for dine-in only at participating locations and requires either a military ID or uniform as proof.
Buffalo Wild Wings
Based on past promotions, Veterans and active-duty Service Members may receive a free order of boneless wings and fries on Nov. 11 with a valid ID. This offer is for dine-in only.
California Fish Grill
California Fish Grill may offer a complimentary taco and fountain drink to Veterans and active-duty Service Members, based on past promotions. The offer is dine-in only and requires a valid ID.
California Pizza Kitchen (confirmed by editor)
At participating locations, Veterans and active military can receive a complimentary drink and entrée from a special menu on Nov. 11.
Chili’s (confirmed by editor)
Veterans and active-duty Service Members with valid identification can receive a free meal from a select menu on Nov. 11, available at participating restaurants for dine-in only.
Circle K
On Nove. 11, Circle K offers a free medium coffee through the Circle K app to thank Veterans and active-duty military personnel. To redeem, download the Circle K mobile app and follow the instructions under the Deals tab. Valid only at participating stores.
Claim Jumper
Veterans and active-duty military can enjoy a free dine-in meal from a select menu on Nov. 11.
Cracker Barrel
Based on previous years, Cracker Barrel is expected to offer Veterans and active-duty personnel a complimentary dine-in Sunrise Pancake special on Veterans Day. Inquire beforehand.
Coco’s Bakery Restaurant
Coco’s Bakery Restaurant is offering a free Homestyle Breakfast to Veterans and active-duty military members on Veterans Day.
Dave & Buster’s
Dave & Buster’s typically offers Veterans a free entree (up to $20) and a free $10 Power Card with a valid Veterans ID card on Nov. 11. Inquire beforehand at your local Dave & Buster’s.
Denny’s
Veterans and military personnel with a valid Military ID or a DD214 can enjoy a free Original Grand Slam on Nov. 11 from 5 a.m. to noon.
Dunkin’
Based on previous years, Veterans and active-duty military are expected to enjoy a free donut of their choice on Nov. 11 at participating locations, available in-store only. One free donut per guest.
Famous Dave’s
In the past, Veterans and current military members received a free Georgia chopped pork sandwich and a side at participating locations. Proof of service was required, and the offer was valid for dine-in, to-go, and online orders. Limited to one per guest. Inquire about Veterans Day discounts at your local Famous Dave’s beforehand.
Farmer Boys
Farmer Boys will likely offer Veterans and active-duty military personnel a free big cheeseburger on Nov. 11 at participating locations with proof of service. This offer is valid for dine-in only, requires proof of service, and is limited to one per guest. Inquire about Veterans Day discounts before ordering.
Firehouse Subs
On Nov. 11, Veterans and Active Military can get a free medium sub with purchase of a medium or large combo.
Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse
Active and Retired Military, along with their guests, can receive 50% and 10% off dine-in orders.
On Veterans Day, from 4 p.m. until close, all active-duty Service Members, Veterans, Reservists, and Guardsmen will receive a free “thank you” buffet and beverage. Military Appreciation Night will take place at all Golden Corral restaurants, with no purchase or military ID required to receive the free meal.
Hard Rock Cafe is expected to offer active-duty military and Veterans a complimentary Legendary burger on Nov. 11, available for dine-in only with a valid ID. Additionally, they can receive 15% off for an entire group. The specific details of the 2025 offer have not yet been officially announced.
Hooters
Hooters is expected to offer active-duty military and Veterans a free entrée from the Hooters Veterans Day Menu with the purchase of a beverage at participating locations on Nov. 11, available for dine-in only.
IHOP
Veterans and active-duty military can enjoy a free Red, White, & Blueberry Pancake combo on Veterans Day, available for dine-in only at participating restaurants. This offer is limited to one per guest.
In-N-Out Burger (confirmed by editor)
On Nov. 11, Veterans, active-duty military, reservists, and National Guard members can enjoy a complimentary meal at In-N-Out Burger, which includes any burger, fries, and a beverage. Proof of military service is required.
Juice It Up
In the past, Veterans and active-duty Service Members received a free 20-oz smoothie on Nov. 11, available in-store only with proof of service. This year’s Veterans Day discount has not been officially announced.
Johnny Rockets
Johnny Rockets will likely offer Veterans and active-duty military a free Single Burger with the purchase of any drink or shake on Nov. 11. The offer is available for dine-in only at participating locations and requires either a military ID or uniform as proof.
Krispy Kreme
Based on past promotions, Veterans and active-duty Service Members will likely be able to enjoy a complimentary coffee and doughnut at all locations.
Little Caesars
Based on previous promotions, Veterans and active-duty military will likely be able to receive a free HOT-N-READY lunch combo at participating stores on November 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., available in-store only.
Luna Grill offers a 10% discount for all Service Members and Veterans with valid proof of service. This discount is valid for dine-in and to-go orders placed in the restaurant. This offer does not apply to online orders. For orders placed over the phone, the Veteran or Service Member must present proof of service when picking up the order.
McCormick & Schmick’s (confirmed by editor)
Veterans, National Guard, Gold Star Parents and Spouses, and Active Military can enjoy a select half-priced entrée at participating locations on Nov. 9. Dine-in only.
Melting Pot
Previously, current and former Service Members got a 10% off discount. The specific details of the 2025 Veterans Day offer have not yet been officially announced.
Veterans and active-duty military can get their first 6 oz of frozen yogurt for free on Nov. 11 with a valid ID.
MOD Pizza
Based on previous promotions, on Nov. 11, Veterans, active-duty military personnel are eligible to receive a free Mega Cookie with the purchase of a pizza or salad.
O’Charley’s
O’Charley’s is expected to offer Veterans and active-duty military a free meal on Nov. 11 at participating locations. The specific details of the 2025 Veterans Day offer have not yet been officially announced.
Olive Garden (confirmed by editor)
On Nov. 11, Veterans and Active Military will receive a free meal from a select menu, including breadsticks and soup or salad.
Active-duty military and Veterans can get a free bloomin’ onion and a Coca-Cola beverage on Veterans Day. This offer is valid for dine-in and to-go orders.
Peet’s Coffee
Peet’s Coffee is expected to offer active-duty military and Veterans a free drip coffee or tea of any size on Nov. 11 at participating locations.
Pilot Flying J
Pilot Flying J will likely offer current and former Service Members a free meal up to $12 at participating locations on Nov. 11 through the myRewards app.
Raising Cane’s
Raising Cane’s has not yet announced a Veterans Day promotion, but in previous years, active and former military members, along with their spouses, received 10% off their entire purchase on Nov. 11 by mentioning the Hero Discount Program at the register. A valid ID is required for the discount.
Red Lobster
Based on previous promotions, Red Lobster will likely offer Veterans, active-duty military, and reservists a free meal. In the past, they received free shrimp and chips with coleslaw or fries on Nov. 11. Guests will need to show a valid military ID or proof of service. The offer is for dine-in only.
Red Robin (confirmed by editor)
Veterans and active-duty military can get a 30%-off coupon for dine-in orders on Nov. 10 and 11.
Round Table Pizza
Round Table Pizza has not yet announced a Veterans Day promotion. This year is expected to be similar to last year’s, in which Veterans can get 15% off their order. The offer is valid for dine-in, carryout, and delivery.
Sammy’s Restaurant + Bar (confirmed by editor)
Located at Stones Gambling Hall, Sammy’s Restaurant + Bar offers Veterans and Service Members with a valid ID or DD214 a complimentary pizza or sliders from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Sizzler is likely to offer a free lunch to active-duty military personnel and Veterans from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Nov. 11 at participating locations.
Smoothie King
Smoothie King will likely offer active-duty military and Veterans a free 20-oz at participating locations on Nov. 11 with a valid ID. Their 2025 Veterans Day discount has not been officially announced.
SONIC Drive-In
SONIC has not officially announced its 2025 Veterans Day discount. In previous years, active-duty military and Veterans enjoyed half-price shakes of any size and flavor, including Classic and Master Shakes, on Nov. 11.
Starbucks will likely honor Veterans, active-duty Service Members, and military spouses with a free tall hot or cold drip coffee.
Subway
Subway does not have a company-wide promotion for Veterans Day, but some franchise locations may offer a promotion, such as a free 6-inch sub or a 10% discount. Check with your local Subway for participation.
At participating locations, active-duty military and Veterans with military ID can receive a free meal voucher on Nov. 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
TGIFridays Restaurant and Cocktail Bar
Based on previous promotions, on Nov. 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Veterans and active-duty military will likely get a complimentary meal from a select menu.
Wendy’s will likely offer active-duty military and Veterans a free small breakfast combo on Nov. 11 at participating locations during breakfast hours with a valid ID.
Veterans and active-duty military can get a free appetizer on Nov. 11. Dine-in only, and no purchase necessary.
RETAIL
Veterans and active-duty military can get a 5% off coupon when verified online.
On Nov. 11, Veterans and active military Service Members can visit any Great Clips salon to receive a free haircut.
GNC gives Veterans and active-duty military Service Members a 10% discount when verified with ID.me.
Some locations may offer discounts for Veterans. Check with your local store.
Kohl’s
Active and former military personnel, Veterans, and their families can receive a 30% discount on qualifying in-store purchases on Nov. 10 and 11.
Veterans and Active Military can receive a 25% off coupon after being verified online. They will also receive 25% back in Bonus Rewards on qualifying purchases.
Old Navy
Veterans, active-duty and retired military personnel, reservists, and their dependents with a valid ID are eligible for a 10% discount in-store. Not valid with any other discounts or coupons.
At some locations, Veterans and active-duty Service Members may receive a 15% off discount. Inquire about Veterans Day discounts at your local Midas store.
Sleep Number
Active-duty, Veteran, retired, and reservist members can get a 5% discount on their entire purchase through Dec. 31. Military status must be verified through a third-party service like SheerID, ID.me, or GovX.com.
Sports Clips
From now through Nov. 15, Veterans and active military Service Members with a valid ID can receive a free haircut with the Sport Clips’ Help A Hero program at participating locations.
Veterans and active-duty Service Members enrolled in Target Circle and verified military status will receive a 10% off coupon. The discount can be used on two separate transactions, both online and in-store.
On Veterans Day, military personnel receive a 10% discount on all purchases.
Veterans, active-duty Service Members, Military Spouses, and their families are eligible for a 20% discount.
Vitamin Shoppe
Based on past promotions, Veterans and active-duty military personnel may receive a 25% discount on in-store purchases on Veterans Day. On Mondays, the store offers a 20% discount to former and current military personnel.
Nov. 8 through 11, Veterans, active-duty military, and their families can receive a 20% discount on a regular-priced eligible in-store item at any Walgreens or Duane Reade drugstore nationwide.
ENTERTAINMENT & RECREATION
Veterans and active-duty military with a valid ID can enjoy free admission from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 11. A reservation is required and can be made online.
California State Parks (confirmed by editor)
Veterans and Active Military will receive free admission to most state parks on Veterans Day.
From Nov. 3 to 20 and from Dec. 1 to Dec. 18, Veterans and active-duty military can purchase discounted tickets for themselves and up to five additional guests.
Mammoth Mountain
Veterans and active-duty Service Members can receive a free single-day lift ticket for the 2025-2026 season. Mammoth Mountain will be closed on Veterans Day.
On Nov. 11, free admission is offered to all visitors at National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee.
Select locations may offer Veterans Day discounts for former and active U.S. military members. Inquire at your local Regal cinema.
On Nov. 11, Queen Mary will host a Veterans Day event with free admission for Veterans, active-duty, and their families.
Now through Oct. 31, current and former military and up to three guests may enjoy complimentary admission through the Waves of Honor Program.
On Nov. 11 and 12, Veterans and active-duty personnel with a valid ID can receive free park admission, and friends and family of Veterans or active-duty military can enjoy discounted park admission.
During November, Veterans can visit the USS Midway Museum for free. Veterans can claim their free same-day admission at the museum ticket booth located on Navy Pier. Proof of service is required. The USS Midway Museum will lead the San Diego Veterans Day Parade on Nov. 11 along Harbor Drive in San Diego.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Eligible military members can enjoy 12% off the Best Available Rate at participating hotels. For a limited time, Wyndham Rewards members receive 1,000 bonus points for one qualified stay booked directly by Dec. 8 and completed by Dec. 31.
Red Roof is offering up to 15% off for active military, Veterans, and their families from Oct. 13 through Nov. 13. Book online.
Eligible military members can enjoy 12% off at participating hotels and 15% off at participating Super 8 locations. They can also receive a complimentary upgrade to Wyndham Rewards Gold Status. For a limited time, Wyndham Rewards members receive 1,000 bonus points after their first qualified stay.
