This year’s Washington Conference has been cancelled so no trip to our nation’s capital in March for most of us, but the work of the American Legion continues, nonetheless. There will be virtual meetings of the Legislative Commission, National Security Commission, Veterans Education & Employment Commission, Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, Health Administration Committee, and the TBI-PTSD Suicide Prevention Committee. All of you are encouraged to join these meetings and listen in. You can do so by following the links here.
If you are interested in what are the legislative pursuits of the American Legion this year you can find that here.
We have the voice of 2 million members and each of us are represented by Congressional Representatives and Senators who work for us. The American Legion Legislative Agenda is created by individual Legionnaires through the local Resolution process, so this agenda matters to all of us so reach out to the representatives in your area and tell them what is important to us all. Before you do so, please review this Video “know before you go” there is a lot of helpful information available in the video to prepare you for your visit to your representatives.
