Consider subscribing to the quarterly print edition of the California Legionnaire and your donation will help to fund our newswriting and how-to articles, as well as help to offset the cost of printing and mailing. Members of The  American Legion do great things for our California veterans and their families every day. As the official publication of The American Legion Department of California, the California Legionnaire should reach all of the 2 million veterans in the Golden State to tell those stories. On our website, caLegion.org, we have a freelance writer publish two news stories a week about veterans issues.

Filing for VA benefits can be a daunting task for any veteran and we employ veteran service officers in eight regions across the state to help them navigate the system. We’d like to bring on another writer to produce how-to articles to help walk veterans through the process of filing for VA benefits and supplement the great work our VSOs do.
