A Blue Cap American Legionnaire for the position of Department Vice commander Area 3

Chris’ eligibility is established by service to the greatest nation the United States of America by serving in the U. S. Air Force from 1984 to 1990 and continued service through Veterans Organizations.

American Legion:

(After escaping Post 1000 and finding a home)

Visalia Post 18-member, current Judge Advocate-Executive Committee-Fund raising Committee, past Sergeant at Arms, past 1st Vice Commander with 100% membership in 2024.

District 15, Sergeant at Arms, 1st Vice Commander, Commander (2023-2024), Jr Past Commander 2025, Liaison to the Sons of the American Legion

Area 3, current Sergeant at Arms, substitute Chaplain (glad I bought the Chaplain guidebook)

Member of the Bylaws Committee

Member of the Past Commanders Club

Chris’ Background:

Chris’ family history is filled with patriotic Americans that have served the US, grandfather Army, Father Navy and senior brother Air Force. Also, many uncles and cousins serving in the various branches of the military.

Born in New York raised in California. Upon graduation from High School with parental consent enlisted in the USAF at the age of 17. Served in the USAF with the Security Police from 1984 to 1990 and was stationed in the US, Middle East and Central America. Attended the Community College of the Air Force and University of Maryland.

Upon being Honorably discharged continued service with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office. He was assigned duties in the Jails, Patrol, Investigations, and Administration. During this service continued education at various state and community colleges and completing the LAPD West Point Leadership Program, the Hazardous Device Course among other courses.

Served as the liaison to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Foundation and liaison to the Tule Indian Reservation. An advocate to seeking out and employing veterans in public service.

After serving for 32 years retired as the Assistant Sheriff.

He continues to volunteer assisting the community with blood drives and holiday cheer (Ho Ho Ho) with his wife of 38 years Carol.
