The Department is now accepting applications for fulltime Veteran Service Officers for VARO Oakland and San Diego locations.
Qualifications:
- Eligible for membership in The American Legion.
- High School graduate, DD-214 (if veteran).
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Internet, and Technical Equipment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology plus anatomy and physiology is desirable.
- Experience in assisting with filing claims for VA benefits is desirable.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be eligible for Government Clearance check.
- Must be able to work well with others under pressure.
- Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing.
