The American Legion Department of California Oratorical Contest took place on February 26, 2023 in Woodland, CA.
First place winner, Mahee Haswani (sponsored Area 1, District 6, Folsom Post 362), gave a speech about “A Test of our Republic”. She now moves on to The American Legion Oratorical National Competition in Indianapolis, IN, taking place April 21-23, 2023.
Other contestants were:
- 2nd place: Camilla Cetina (Area 6)
- 3rd place: Zayda McIntire (Area 3)
- 4th place: Ryland Hoffius (Area 5)
- 5th place: Robert Crevelli (Area 4)
- 6th place: Catherine Alva (Area 2)
