A guide for students considering ROTC
Student Training and Education in Public Service (STEPS) has published a comprehensive guide for students considering the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC).
ROTC is designed to develop and train college and university students to become military officers while earning a degree. Since the program’s inception in 1916, more than one million cadets have passed through the program. ROTC programs are now offered at more than 1,700 colleges and universities nationwide.
The guide offered by STEPS is designed to help students considering ROTC explore options by providing information on the programs offered by the different service branches, benefits and scholarships. Additionally, the guide offers advice on different academic majors that would be helpful in preparing for a career in the U.S. military.
