“Lions of The Sky” by Francesco “Paco” Chierici

Sons of the American Legion, Ronald Reagan Palisades Squadron 283, is hosting a special live-streaming Living History event with Navy pilot Francesco “Paco” Chierici on Thursday, May 21 at 7 p.m. Pacific time. The event will benefit medical workers at the Los Angeles VA Hospital and California Veterans Home-West L.A.

This is the same date and time we would normally have our monthly Living History Night meetings and dinners.

This event will be held on video conferencing application Zoom and we will be asking for $10 per household/screen to attend the benefit Living History talk. This is in lieu of the usual $10 per meal served at our regular in-person meetings. You’ll have the opportunity to donate more for this worthy cause when you register at this link:

Chierici flew A-6E Intruders and F-14A Tomcats, deploying to Somalia and Iraq. During these deployments, he was stationed on the carriers Kitty Hawk, Ranger, and Nimitz. He is currently a pilot for Delta Air Lines and is the author of “Lions of the Sky,” a novel about a Fighter Pilot Instructor, with a class about to be deployed to the South China Sea.

By signing up and attending this event, not only will your $10 donation go to help provide masks and gloves for medical professionals, but you will be entered into a drawing to win one of 25 signed copies of “Lions of the Sky.” As a bonus, Squadron 283 will match the first $500 of donations. You are free to donate more than $10 via the link.

Please click on the following link to register, donate, and secure your spot for the event. Space is limited to the first 200 people (screens).
