Tango Alpha Lima, the new American Legion podcast, debuted in April 1, 2020 and has been releasing twice-monthly episodes ever since. The veteran-run podcast offers lively discussions and entertaining takes on current events and stories of interest to the military community. Streaming Tango Alpha Lima on a mobile device or watching on YouTube is similar to listening in on a conversation at the canteen at your local post.

Jeff Daly of California’s own American Legion Hollywood Post 43 is one of three co-hosts who combines his experience as one of “The Magnificent Bastards” of 2nd Battalion/4th Marines with training at Chicago’s Second City Improv (also the first stop on the legendary careers of Bill Murray, John Belushi, Steve Carell, and many others) to bring story-telling flair to the military-themed podcast.

Joining Daly on Tango Alpha Lima are Ashley Gorbulja-Maldonado, a National Guard veteran and Co-Founder of Brave Women Served, and Mark Seavey, another National Guard veteran who began working for the American Legion in 1998, writes for American Legion Magazine, and has appeared on CNN, FoxNews, and MSNBC.

Topics have included everything from conducting Buddy Checks and the American Legion Coronavirus Community Response to tank names, the best military TV shows, the Hello Girls of World War I, and even Sasquatch and Joe Exotic, the Tiger King.
