Saying “thanks”

“Plan, assign responsibilities, check back to see that the job is being done, and then say, “Thank you!” A post can express its appreciation in many ways, including awards, citations and recognition at a post meeting. Even a simple “thank you” note can mean a great deal. This simple courtesy should never be overlooked.”

Recognition Forms & Award Applications

The recognition of Legionnaires for their excellent service to our veterans, their families, and our communities is a good habit for leaders to develop.

The work of Legionnaires in their post, through Legion programs and commissions, is often where the excellent work of our Legionnaires becomes evident. This is a big part of how we serve, and posts are also kept vibrant and alive with activity because of the hard work our Legionnaires give to our programs and commissions.

Many programs and commissions have year-end report forms and award applications that help recognize Legionnaires for their outstanding service to others.
