Dear Chaplain, Your Service is Priceless! As Chaplains, we’re entrusted with the sacred task of fostering unity, compassion, and support within our American Legion family. Let’s lead with empathy while listening to hearts with open ears and comforting spirits with unwavering presence. May our prayers be a beacon of hope, our words a balm for the weary, and our actions a testament to the values we hold dear. Thank you for all that you. As the newly appointed Chaplain for Area 2, it’s an honor to see the great work that is being done. I’m incorporating the faiths that I was raised with Sikh and Christian into the services that we provide in the SF Bay & Monterey Bay regions.
Yes, we stand for God and Country, but please remember that we are non-denominational. Maybe you could add some additional symbology to the cross. There are chaplains of other faiths.
I appreciate your comment and thank you for bringing it to our attention. I want to present an all-inclusive picture of our interfaith community for the Legion. Can you suggest a comparable symbol that includes other faiths? Please send it to me at chaplain@calegion.org.
Thank you again!
