Announcements for CHAPLAINS:1. SAVE THE DATE – Chaplain Power Conference on Friday, June 28 from 4pm to 530pm at the Marriott (room TBD) during the Annual Convention in Visalia. 2. CHAPLAIN OF THE YEAR – Complete the form for Chaplain of the Year and submit it ASAP. Awards will be presented during the Annual Convention. CHAPLAIN’S REPORT OF SERVICE – Please submit your report to the Department Chaplain at chaplain@calegion.org ASAP. Announcements for EVERYONE: 1. SAVE THE DATE – Dept of California Prayer Breakfast, Saturday, June 29 from 7am to 830am at the Marriott (room TBD). The entire Legion family is invited. Advanced Reservations ($10 each) are required. More information to follow. 2. BUDDY CHECKS – Remember to remember our Comrades and make Buddy Check Calls regularly. 3. POST A PRAYER – Everyone is invited to go to the Chaplains Page and post a prayer, a request for prayer, or a praise report. |

Rick received the Otto Hasse Legionnaire of the Year Award in 2016, Department of California Award for work on the department website in 2019, and in 2023 Rick received The American Legion Medal of Merit from the Department of California.
Yes, we stand for God and Country, but please remember that we are non-denominational. Maybe you could add some additional symbology to the cross. There are chaplains of other faiths.
