The information includes:
- The date, time, and location of the job fair
- The event name and who the sponsor is
- A link to another information page
- A link to similar job fairs
- If the event is virtual or live
- If it has a focus on veterans
- How many are following the event
- What companies participated in past events
This information helps our veterans select the best job fairs to attend for their specific employment goals.
National Veterans Employment & Education Awards

The National Veterans Employment & Education Commission annually presents several awards at The American Legion’s national convention to honor employers who hire veterans, disabled veterans and older workers. Those who help veterans find employment are also recognized.
The awards include:
- Employer of Veterans Award – Small Business, Mid-Sized Business and Large Business
- Employment Service Award
- Enhance the Lives of Disabled Persons Award
- Employer of Older Workers Award
- Michael Guty Homeless Veterans Outreach Award
Nomination forms for each award are available through American Legion department headquarters. All entries must be accompanied by an official nomination form with no more than two pages of narrative, along with supporting documents. Departments will send reminders to all posts about nominations.
