American Legion Boyce Aten Post 25 (El Centro, CA) member Robert “Bob” Candland sends messages during the Imperial County Emergency Operations Center Exercise “Hurricane Lupe” today. Post 25 Members Bob Candland, J. Rollins and Dick Verbrugh supported the exercise in planning and emergency radio operations.

The Post is seeking local veterans interested in starting up The American Legion Amateur Radio Club (TALARC) in the Imperial Valley. Although current licensed operators are wanted, any veteran interested in becoming a radio operator, or “hams” and becoming a member of the group are also wanted.
