Monthly Online DEC Meetings
Earlier today, Commander Grimsley sent out an email calling for the Department Executive Committee to meet online once a month on the 2nd Thursday at 6 p.m. starting in October. The Commander wants to make use of the skills we have developed during this pandemic and continue to get the Department’s business done instead of waiting seven months until our next scheduled face to face DEC in March. The meeting agendas will be formatted to last an hour. After the business portion of the meeting, there will be optional training lasting 20-30 minutes. The provided training will target to assist district commanders.
An agenda and associated materials will be distributed two weeks prior to the meetings.

Rick is a veteran of the Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War era. He serves as a Technical Advisor to the Media and Communications Commission. He is a member of the Department Web Team. Rick received the Otto Hasse Legionnaire of the Year Award in 2016, Department of California Award for work on the department website in 2019, and in 2023 Rick received The American Legion Medal of Merit from the Department of California.
