CAMPAIGN VISION:

The American Legion Department of California Headquarters is the command center for our statewide mission. It must stand tall, stand proud, and reflect the professionalism, credibility, and history of the organization it represents.

Through the $250,000 Legacy Campaign (three-year goal), powered by California American Legion Charities, we will transform headquarters into a modern, inspiring, and functional home worthy of California’s 1.5 million veterans.

This is our White House — the people’s house of veterans.

PURPOSE OF THE LEGACY CAMPAIGN:

★ Renovate and Modernize Headquarters

Funds raised will support:

  • Structural and cosmetic renovations
  • Safety, ADA, and accessibility improvements
  • Modern workspaces for staff and leadership
  • Professional meeting & training rooms
  • Technology, communications, and digital upgrades

★ Strengthen Statewide Programs

A strengthened HQ powers every statewide program:

  • Veteran Service Officers (VSOs)
  • California American Legion College
  • Youth and community programs
  • Digital membership growth via Legion+
  • Support to all Posts, Districts, and Areas

★ Build a Headquarters for the Next Century

This campaign ensures the next generation inherits a headquarters that:

  • Honors the past
  • Empowers the present
  • Is built to last

This campaign is more than a renovation — it is a recommitment to who we are and who we serve. With the support of donors, Legionnaires, Posts, and partners, we will build a Headquarters that stands tall, stands proud, and stands as our White House for the next century of service.
