The Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Veterans Legal Services Project will hold two webinars in December aimed at assisting veterans and their families.

For the first event, we are partnering with Mental Health Advocacy Services on a Fair Housing Protections webinar for veterans.  The information during the webinar will be helpful not just for veterans who are immediately concerned about losing their housing, but also informative so that even the individuals who are not worried about losing housing are aware of their rights. ALL veterans are welcome, but registration is required.

Our second event, is our monthly Record Clearing Clinic, which will be supported by attorneys from DLA Piper. The hours are a bit earlier, with the clinic starting at 3:00 p.m. All veterans who have tickets or convictions in a California State superior court are welcome to attend, to begin assistance with requesting leniency on tickets and expungement of criminal records on all eligible matters.  Registration and completion of intake paperwork is required for this event.
