CalVet Leadership Summit
The 2024 CalVet Leadership Summit will enable CalVet’s leadership team to connect with established stakeholders and community partners from across California. This leadership summit will collaboratively delve into critical veteran priorities, future visions, and strategies to further fortify our efforts, ensuring California’s veterans are the most connected, protected, and respected in the nation. A detailed agenda will be released closer to the leadership summit.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 6TH
OPENING RECEPTION
WELCOME
Join CalVet for a welcome reception hosted on the grounds of the Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, providing a relaxed atmosphere for networking and socializing.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 7TH
LEADERSHIP SUMMIT KICKOFF
DAY 1
The first day of the Summit you will hear from Secretary Lindsey Sin and the call to action for California veterans to be the most Connected, Protected, and Respected in the Nation. The CalVet Executive Team and California elected officials, alongside state and federal partners will examine collaboratives and initiatives to develop and adopt innovative ideas to enhance veterans rights, services, advocacy, and outreach to honor the military service of all California veterans and their families.
Evening Event: CalVet Network Power-Hour
Meet and greet with the CalVet team, followed by an evening to network in the Gaslamp District.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8TH
LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
DAY 2
The second day of the Summit explores the diverse makeup of California’s veterans and how CalVet, dedicated service providers, and community partners ensure that regardless of age, ability, cultural background, ethnicity, faith, gender, gender expression, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, or citizen status has the opportunity to reach their full potential with dignity and a sense of belonging as a Connected, Protected, and Respected California veteran. There will also be a comprehensive review of the California Women Veterans Survey exploring the findings and potential initiatives.

TRAILBLAZER AWARDS
Join CalVet in the evening to recognize California women veterans and servicewomen who have made significant contributions to their communities.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9TH
LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
DAY 3
The final day of the Summit brings Service In Action, by exhibiting respect, empathy, and sensitivity in every action, treating all veterans and their family members, our colleagues, and our partners with dignity and appreciation. Summit attendees will take part in a unique morning of service opportunity to provide for unhoused and less fortunate veterans and their family members in nearby communities. The Summit will conclude with remarks from Secretary Lindsey Sin recapping the mission, vision, and call to action to serve and honor all California veterans and their families are the most Connected, Protected, and Respected in the Nation.
