The Wall that Heals (Woodland Hills) – Volunteers Needed
The Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America, through a benefactor to the post in the San Fernando Valley, is bringing the three-quarter replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall to Pierce College 19-22 March, called The Wall That Heals.
The wall will be open 24 hours while it is at Pierce College, allowing Veterans and their families to come whenever they feel most comfortable.
Volunteers are needed for the Wall that Heals.
A helpful short training session will take place about 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18 @ the Volunteer Tent/Trailer. If unable to attend, make-up training may be scheduled.
Physically able people are needed to help set up the Wall in the morning of March 18, 2026 and break down the Wall on March 22.
Other positions may require light to moderate amounts of walking or standing.
Additional positions include:
– Assist visitors at the Wall
– Mobile Education Center
– Direct Visitors (Floater)
– Parking and Visitor Assistance
– Security
– Seated Position (Informational Assistance)
– Set Up and Take Down (must be physically able to lift and move wall sheets)*
