Los Angeles, CA — Jackie Robinson Post 252 of The American Legion proudly announces the celebration of its 53rd Anniversary & Founders’ Day, commemorating more than five decades of dedicated service to Veterans, their families, and the broader community.

Founded in April 1973, Jackie Robinson Post 252 has stood as a pillar of leadership within both the Veteran and African American communities. For 53 years, the Post has championed advocacy, mentorship, youth development, civic engagement, and unwavering support for those who have worn the uniform of the United States Armed Forces.

Named in honor of baseball legend and Army Veteran Jackie Robinson, the Post embodies his legacy of courage, discipline, service, and breaking barriers. Throughout its history, Post 252 has not only served Veterans but has cultivated leaders who continue to impact the City of Los Angeles, the State of California, and beyond.

The 53rd Anniversary & Founders’ Day Celebration will reflect on the Post’s legacy while casting vision for the future of Veteran service, youth empowerment, and community partnership.
