Military veterans in and around the Sacramento Valley area are invited for a special service session at Yolo American Legion Post 77 located at 523 Bush Street in Woodland, CA 95695.
American Legion staff and members will be available to discuss veterans’ benefits, The American Legion’s legislative efforts, membership opportunities and service to the community on Friday and Saturday, April 17 & 18, from 9 am – 4 pm and Sunday, April 19 from 9 am – 2 pm at Yolo American Legion Post 77.
Local Legionnaires and representatives from the California American Legion will be available to discuss VA benefits, membership opportunities, and The American Legion’s ongoing service to veterans, military families, and local communities. Veterans are encouraged to stop by to learn more about the organization’s mission and its focus across The American Legion’s four pillars: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth.
A Veteran Service Officer will also be on site during event hours to assist area veterans with claims, benefits inquiries, and other veteran-related support.
For over a century, The American Legion has remained a steadfast advocate for veterans’ rights, patriotic values, youth mentorship, and national security. The scope and nature of each local post’s community service are shaped by its members in collaboration with civic and community leaders.
