Post Convention Delegates Training

Post Convention Delegate Training Video

Post Delegates to the annual Department of California Convention serve a more important role than most Legionnaires understand.

This training program will focus on four main learning objectives or key areas of a delegate’s job. These include.

  • How Post Delegates are Assigned
  • Delegate District Check-In
  • Delegate Event Attendance, and
  • What Delegates Vote On

Post Delegates to the annual Department Convention have a duty to represent the best interest of their post as they vote in our department affairs. Post Delegates alone have the authority to approve changes to the department’s constitution, bylaws, department budget, approve resolutions, and elect our department officers. Post leaders, especially Post Convention Delegates are encouraged to complete the Post Convention Delegate Training to better understand their role.
