Presently, NARA charges a fee for copies of service records. As a CVSO on 3 separate occasions I requested records, I was advised each time that there was a charge of over $1500.00 for copies. Men and women who have served, and their dependents, should receive this documentation without charge.

Protest the A. L. endorsement of new law requiring young women to register with Selective Service. The draft was never fair, forcing young men into the army. Especially men of “color”, who also fought and died in higher proportion than others in Vietnam. . While sons of the wealthy often bought deferments, like con man Trump.
I am not renewing my Legion membership until the Legion recommends the end of S. Service and the draft.
