Yes, my understanding is the tax bill in in two parts of the fiscal year; part 1: July 01, 2026 to December 31, 2026 and part 2: January 01, 2027 to June 30, 2026 and that the new law (SB296) will take affect on January 01, 2027. Also, this is base on income, what is considered low, below a certain amount, and the high income; the lower income would be at 100% exemption while the higher would be at the 50% exemption, which is not as good as the standard existing today.
I was thinking that the exemption should take effect January 1, 2027. They said since the current tax bill is from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 it won’t apply until the July 1, 2027 through June 30, 2028 tax bill.
I checked with Riverside County and they told me it would reduce my taxes until the next Fiscal year since the current Fiscal year tax bill is for July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. It seems like it should reduce the tax bill starting January 1, 2027.

We started our process in Jan 2024 and all we get is fill out this form or this one, or contact this agency or this one. Supposedly, the VA (Dough Collins and client relations) said say his claim has been noted as priority processing and also instructed us to use the VERA system and have a 1:1 interview – which we did. Waste of time, as they told us we had to find his records to file a claim. How many no’s do we need to get the document Levins said on a national TV podcast said could be issued in lieu of DD214?

As a female delegate myself, this isn’t co-ed if in 2026, the FEMALE elected governor isn’t able to go forward after both delegates were female. They had to choose a man to go to the national level. Sad.
From a security guard’s perspective, a 93-acre memorial park will need thoughtful security planning once it becomes active. With trails, open spaces, parking areas, and a memorial plaza, regular patrols can help keep different areas monitored. A visible security presence can also discourage vandalism, trespassing, and other unwanted activity. Cameras, proper lighting, and routine patrols could work together well for a property of this size. It’s encouraging to see a meaningful place like this being developed for veterans, families, and the community.

Riverside may have their info wrong. This bill doesn’t take effect until 2027 and runs through 2032 (unless it’s extended).
