Sean Jones, past commander of Santa Monica Bay Cities Post 123

A mass and burial service will be held for Legionnaire Sean Edward Jones at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 3 at Forest Lawn Cemetery’s Wee Kirk o’ the Heather Chapel, located at 1712 S. Glendale Ave. in Glendale. Sean was a dedicated father, Legionnaire, member of the Sons of The American Legion and an Army veteran. Most recently, he served as the past commander for Santa Monica Bay Cities Post 123, where he previously worked as commander for several years in order to revitalize the struggling post. Before that, Sean was an active member of Pacific Palisades Post 283. Sean is survived by his wife, Marisa, and their two children, Camilla and Colin, as well as his mother, Shirley. His unexpected passing is a tragedy and a major loss to his family and also to all who have had the honor of meeting, socializing or working him.
