With Veterans Day 2022 just around the corner, California American legion is once again putting together a list of discounts, deals, and promotions California veterans can take advantage of in November.

Note: this list only includes Veterans Day-specific discounts; we won’t be including year-round military and veterans discounts.
Veterans Day transportation discounts for California veterans
Golden Empire Transit, Bakersfield
Throughout November, active military and veterans can take fixed-route bus rides for free.
Veterans Day food & drink discounts for California veterans
7-Eleven
Veterans and active-duty personnel can get a free Big Gulp or coffee on Veterans Day through the 7-Eleven app.
Ample Hills Creamery, Long Beach
On Veterans Day, servicemembers and veterans can get a free kids scoop of ice cream.
Another Broken Egg Cafe
Veterans and active-duty personnel can get a French toast and coffee combo for free on Veterans Day.
Participating Applebee’s restaurants are offering a variety of Veterans Days deals.
Veterans and active-duty military can get a free bowl (meal) on Veterans Day.
Black Angus Steakhouse
On Veterans Day, active-duty and veterans can get an All-American steak plate and drink for $11.
Buffalo Wild Wings
Dine-in or takeout guests at participating restaurants can get one free order of boneless wings andfries on Veterans Day.
Between Nov. 7–9, California Pizza Kitchen will donate 20 percent of sales to Disabled American Veterans from all guests who visit in support. Online orders must use code DAV at checkout. Additionally, veterans and active military can order a free drink and entree of their choice from a special Veterans Day menu.
Active-duty military and veterans can get a free meal on Veterans Day from participating Chili’s restaurants.
Claim Jumper
Veterans can a free entree plus a coupon for their next visit at participating Claim Jumper restaurants on Veterans Day.
Coco’s Bakery & Restaurant
Veterans and active-duty servicemebers can get a free slice of pie and coupon for a free entree on Veterans Day.
Cracker Barrel
On Veterans Day, veterans can get a free slice of Coca-Cola cake with the purchase of a meal.
Denny’s
Active-duty personnel and veterans can order a free Build Your Own Grand Slam between 5:00 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Veterans Day.
Dunkin’ Donuts
Veterans and active-duty will receive a 10 percent discount off their in-store purchase at participating locations.
Famous Dave’s
On Veterans Day, active servicemembers and veterans can get a free Georgia Chopped Pork sandwich and side. Use code VETERAN if ordering online.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers
On Veterans Day, veterans and active military can get a free Freddy’s original double combo coupon to be redeemed any time before Nov. 30.
Golden Corral
On November 14, Golden Corral will be holding its annual Military Appreciation Night. Veterans and active-duty can receive a free meal.
Veterans can get a free in-restaurant meal from a select menu with the purchase of a drink on Veterans Day.
The Human Bean Coffee
Veterans and active-duty can get a free 16-ounce drink on Veterans Day.
IHOP
On Veterans Day, veterans and active-duty personnel can get free pancakes on in-restaurant orders.
Logan’s Roadhouse
From 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Veterans Day, active-duty and veterans can get a free meal off a special menu from Logan’s Roadhouse.
At participating locations, veterans and active-duty military can get a free drink or smoothie on Veterans Day.
Olive Garden
Veterans and active servicemembers can get a free meal off a special menu on Veterans Day. Participating restaurants may offer an additional 10 percent off the remainder of bill.
Veterans and active military can get a free Walt’s Favorite Shrimp, fries, and coleslaw meal on Veterans Day at partaking locations.
Sizzler
Some Sizzler locations in California may be offering Veterans Day deals and promotions. Check with your local restaurant for more info.
Starbucks
Veterans, active-duty military, and spouses can get a free hot or iced coffee at participating Starbucks locations.
Texas Roadhouse
Veterans can get a free dinner voucher between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Veterans Day.
Tony’s Coal Fired Pizza
Veterans and active military can get a free 12-inch cheese pizza on Nov. 11.
Veterans Day retail & services discounts for California veterans
Veterans, active military, and spouses can take 25 percent off their entire in-store purchase on Veterans Day.
Outdoor Supply Hardware
Retired and active military can take 20 percent off their in-store orders between Nov. 11-13.
Sports Clips
On Veterans Day, $2 of every haircut service will be donated to the Help a Hero scholarship program by participating Sport Clips locations.
Target
From Nov. 1 to Nov. 11, veterans and active military can get a 10 percent discount off their entire order if they verify their military ID through the Target App prior to an in-store purchase. Online guests can get the discount with a Target Circle membership.
Veterans Day activities & entertainment discounts for California veterans
California State Parks
Veterans and active military can enter most California State Parks for free on Veterans Day. The full list can be found here.
Knott’s Berry Farm, Orange County
Between Nov. 1 to Nov. 17 and Nov. 28 to Dec. 15, active duty military and veterans can pay $20 per ticket for up to six total guests.

I didn’t see the Olive Garden restaurant name on the list as shown! They always offered discounts to military personnel both on active duty and veterans alike in
the past. Not anymore???😂
