Los Angeles Veterans News

  • The same week that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, or VA, announced that it had surpassed its goal of housing 38,000 homeless veterans in 2022 — an effort spearheaded in Los Angeles, where most homeless veterans live — Rand Co. released a private study suggesting that government and volunteer entities may be undercounting homeless populations in some areas of Los Angeles. The study supports anecdotal accounts that there may be flaws in counting the number of homeless veterans in Los Angeles County and elsewhere.
