The first day of October is fast approaching, and this Sunday marks another opportunity for American Legion posts across the country to participate in The American Legion’s Be the One initiative, which aims to reduce the number of Veteran suicides.
Every day, Veterans and Service Members across the nation face the invisible battles of mental health. The Be the One campaign is a beacon of hope in the fight against this critical issue.
Resolution 13, adopted by the National Executive Committee, designated the first day of every month as Be the One Day. This day is dedicated to raising awareness and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health issues among Veterans.
