False it does not work, as a 100% Disabled Veteran battling many serous health issues by VA home is being foreclosed by SHellPoint with NO HELP for Veterans
After reading several articles about this, I can honestly say that his story doesn’t make sense. He says he was driving to work as a security guard at a dope farm. However, he was dressed in shorts and a hoodie? He says he didn’t want to miss his shift, but drove into a line of Federal Immigration Officers conducting a lawful operation and he just wanted to tell them that he worked there and didn’t want to miss work? Really? He says they aggressively took him into custody because he was trying to comply with their orders and he says he didn’t resist at all. Just too many inconsistencies to believe he was just caught up accidentally. If you saw a law enforcement action taking place, you don’t drive into it. You turn around and leave the area so the officers can conduct their duty safely. Those officers are looking for the people illegally in our country and thwarting off the people that are trying to stop them from doing their job. Sounds like he was trying to agitate the situation and got himself into a bad situation.
It is really easy to write your name in support of this act. look I support veterans. If there is so much support, why doesn’t anyone have the guts to bring it up for a vote? Maybe it’s because you only support it on paper. I’m really surprised that veterans are stopping this from being passed. I believe the House and the Senate should vote to pass this and be done with it. No Funding? Stop spending foolishly.
Hi Keith,
I am attempting the same. I served 83-89 on fast attack LA class.

It occurred to me that in addition to the normal “air” we were breathing, we also were breathing the compressed air in our EAB masks from the LP Air system. Although there were filters on this system, as far as I recall there was no “monitoring” of the air to verify the %O2, and %CO2 in the compressed air system.
Retired Air Force JAG in fact. Possibly reserve JAG. $8 Billion is the published estimated cost, I believe. The exact amount EXTRA authorized in the NDAA for 2026. Any connection??? I know this much…I’m eligible, and an extra $1200 per month might have kept me out of post-military jobs that caused at least one additional injury. Hindsight is 20/20 and if wishes were fishes no one would go hungry. Still, one has to wonder, with 300 plus house members co-sponsoring, and 77 or so senators, why is it still lingering over “cost” when Congress gives the Pentagon $8 billion extra without any apparent explanation? The ‘cost’ objection is specious.
I am the surviving son of a deceased USMC war time veteran on SSI will be applying for ssa dac before age 22 but will be applying as mentally disabled before age 18 so I can switch from SSI to ssa dac surviving son and va survivor benefits with house bound extra payment as I have no history of any substacial gainful work History ever and can not and have not been able to provide financial self support
It is note worthy that the Major Richard Star Act was blocker by Republican Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi. He himself a retired Air force service member.
