Happening today, August 30, until 5pm, the American Legion Post 43 is hosting an event to provide support to Veterans who have been impacted by the ongoing strike in the Hollywood entertainment industry.

In cooperation with several nonprofits, the American Legion Post 43 intends to create connections for Veterans facing challenges due to the prolonged labor dispute. The goal between the nonprofits and the American Legion Post 43 is to establish a support network for Veterans during the ongoing strike.

The main purpose of this event is to ensure Veterans have uncomplicated access to essential resources. Services offered include legal assistance, mental health support, and access to food benefits. The event not only serves as a resource center but also as a platform for nurturing a sense of community and shared experiences among Veterans. The event will facilitate connections to both state and federal assistance programs, demonstrating a commitment to alleviating the financial difficulties faced by Veterans during this period.

American Legion Post 43 is hosting the event in Hollywood, with the post building open to all Veterans and their families, even those who are not affiliated with entertainment industry unions.

Free parking is available at the Hollywood Bowl Parking Lot D, situated across the street from the event venue.

As the entertainment industry continues to grapple with a lengthy strike, the American Legion Post 43 event provides solutions and resources to Veterans facing challenges during these uncertain times. This event offers Veterans an opportunity to access services and engage with a supportive community.
