Membership photo contest

Post 55 Laguna/Elk Grove

The Membership Photo Contest for July brought to light some great snapshots that embody the essence of what The American Legion is all about. We want to tip our hats to all those who took part in the July Membership Photo Contest.

At the California State Fair, Post 55 Laguna/Elk Grove turned the event into a family affair by bringing along their sons. It’s a heartwarming reminder that the Legion is more than simply an organization; it’s a close-knit family with traditions and values passed down from one generation to the next.

In Area 2, two booths were set up featuring Helmets for Heroes, a program dedicated to assisting with membership efforts. These booths symbolize the Legion’s commitment to community outreach, awareness building, and connecting with others. The volunteers behind these booths showcase the Legion’s proactive approach to growing membership and engaging with the community.

Even though only three photos made their way to us in July, each one tells a powerful story.

This contest isn’t just about pictures. It’s about honoring the stories they tell, the connections they represent, and the unbreakable bond of a shared mission.

While the contest may not have prizes, the recognition and the spotlight these photos bring to members’ efforts in promoting membership and strengthening the Legion community are priceless.

To all Legion members out there, we encourage you to join in the fun. Capture those moments of camaraderie, service, and community engagement – and don’t forget to share them with us! Let your photos be a source of inspiration, reminding us all of the incredible power of coming together as a Legion family.

We eagerly await the next wave of submissions captured through the lenses of Legion members.
